If you are a client of VZP, you can apply for a financial refund from VZP in the amount of 500,-/ 1 session up to 10 sessions (= up to 5000,-) every year.
What are the steps?
you come to the therapy session
I will ask for your credentials (full name and "rodné číslo")
after the session is done and paid, I will report our it to the VZP system
you would fill in a Deepsy questionnaire - an anonymous online questionnaire regarding the feedback to the therapy
You can apply for the financial benefit after each session, or once, after the 10 sessions
You will receive the money in your account within the next couple of days from applying
What is Deepsy?
DeePsy is a web-based application primarily used by psychotherapists to monitor and analyze the process and outcomes of psychotherapy. It provides a tool for therapists to receive feedback, track client progress, and adapt their approach based on client needs and experiences. You should receive a link to the questionnaire on your email before every session. If not, please, report it to me.
For a therapist to become a part of the VZP financial funding program, one of the conditions is to use DeePsy actively with their clients. Since monitoring of the therapy is one of the evidence-based positive factors of the psychotherapy in general, VZP wants to make sure, that therapists and clients have a tool to do so. Therefore, clients should fill in a short questionnaire. The first one takes about 5 minutes, and every other one about 2 minutes.
Ideally, DeePsy is not just an obligation for the client, but also an useful tool to track their symptoms and a starting point for the discussion about the therapy process. I have an access to the data from the questionnare, however, I never read it unless agreed at the session.

How and when to apply for the benefit
via the web or mobile app Moje VZP from 1. 2. to 31. 12. 2025 or
in person at the counter or mailroom of any VZP branch, or by placing it in the collection box or mailbox of the branch from 1. 1. 2025 to 30. 11. 2025 or
by post to VZP ČR, Regional Branch Office Prague, Na Perštýně 359/6, 110 00 Prague 1, from 1. 1. 2025 to 30. 11. 2025

a contribution from the prevention fund may only be obtained by a person insured with VZP who meets the conditions set out in the given programme and is not in arrears with any premiums, penalties or accessions for health insurance (including where the insurance payer is not known)
persons who are exempted from the public health insurance system or for whom VZP is only an auxiliary health insurer in the health insurance system and thus have a yellow insurance card cannot draw from this contribution
when applying for the contribution, the insured person must not have been re-registered with another health insurance company when the contribution is drawn
for clients who become insured by VZP ČR from 1. 7. 2025, the document for granting the contribution must be paid only after the client has registered with the VZP ČR (i.e. from 1. 7. 2025)
you can apply for this contribution 2 times a year until the limit is exhausted (the exceptions are the contributions for Diet Programmes (once per half-year) and to Improve the Availability of Psychosocial Support (also possible after each session) and for Vaccination (here it is already exhausted in the first application)
we accept payment documents with a date of payment after 1. 1. 2025, which at the time of application must not be older than 3 months from the date of payment (where there are multiple payment documents, they must not be older than 3 months from the date of payment of the last payment document)
for contributions conditional on a preventive check-up (contributions for Physical Activity and Dental Hygiene and Rehabilitation Activities), payment vouchers with a payment date from 1. 1. 2025 are accepted, and at the time of application must not be older than 6 months from the date of payment (in the case of multiple payment documents, the date of payment of the last payment document must not be older than 6 months from the date of payment)
applications with payment vouchers paid after 1. 1. 2025 are recognized for the 2025 prevention fund contribution, meaning they cannot be used for the 2024 contribution
the rules and conditions for granting the contribution, in particular the age limit and the document age, apply as of the date of application, unless otherwise indicated for a specific contribution. For vaccination contributions, the date of vaccine administration is decisive
in the calendar year in which the insured person reaches the age of 18, the contribution for children up to the age of 18 and adults aged 18 and over cannot be combined within the same contribution category
in the calendar year in which the insured person reaches the age of 65, the contribution for adults up to the age of 65 and adults over 65 cannot be combined within the same contribution category
payment documents can be aggregated up to the limit set for the specific contribution. The age of payment documents is assessed according to the date of the last payment for the goods, services or activities for which the contribution is allowed
there is no legal entitlement to contributions from the prevention fund, and their offer does not automatically create an entitlement to draw them
The VZP reserves the right to modify the programmes during the year or terminate them if the financial limit is exhausted.
